 Vladimir Charles is the founder and president of Second Floor Studios, LLC. a hands on personal boutique architectural design firm with expertise in residential and commercial design who brings a sensible approach to resolving challenges. Particular attention is brought to your needs while exercising experience and creative knowledge to achieve the unique. We work with expert consultants to bring your projects to life.

With nearly two decades of experience and accomplishments in the architectural field namely in developments, corporate, commercial and residential projects, Vladimir’s approach to building design is based on results and excellence.

Vladimir gained a wealth of experience working closely for both public and private sector clients on such high profile projects as the redevelopment of the International Terminal at JFK Airport, the Gateway Terminal at Newark International Airport, Dekalb Avenue Community Cluster in Clinton Hills Brooklyn, Mount Morris Park Redevelopment in Harlem,  and number of exclusive high end residential developments and high end retails.

A key strategic and tactical contributor in efforts that yielded successful completion of small scale projects to large scale projects, Vladimir brings valuable insight and knowledge regarding the leadership and management challenges faced by, private customers, entrepreneurs, growing companies, corporations and even governments. Vladimir thrives as a hands-on professional who won’t shy away from on-site challenges. His abilities and thoroughness made him an asset to clients and partners. He understands all facets of real estate development.

Vladimir earned his experience starting in a small firm, exposed to all facets of project and business management, but quickly made his mark working for the largest architectural firms in New York City (e.g. Skidmore Owings & Merrill, HOK, KPF) on complex planning and developmental projects.

Vladimir  graduated from Pratt Institute cum laude with a Bachelor of Architecture, and maintains an active presence with the school.
